Manhattan, Kansas November 19, 2023 Romans 12:1–8 There’s a word we use all the time in church settings – “WORSHIP” Do you know what that word “WORSHIP” means?
1) He forces us to consider WHAT WE WORSHIP and how those form and mold us 2) He’s going to show us WHY WE WORSHIP THE ONE TRUE GOD 3) And then he tells us HOW WE WORSHIP THE ONE TRUE GOD 1) WHAT WE WORSHIP There are so many different ways that we worship in our lives
And all of the things that we worship, they form and mold and change us
We said at the start the word “WORSHIP” means to assign worth to something. To prize it above everything else. And then act in line with that thing
Paul writes, “Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship… Each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts”
